Important Information When Submitting Applications by mail or fax:
The USA PATRIOT Act was passed after the 9/11 attacks in an effort to protect the nation from terrorist financing. The Act requires credit unions to verify
the identity of everyone doing business with them.
Since October 1, 2003, new members will be asked for name, address, tax identification number, date of birth, and must show a photo ID. Existing
members will be asked for identification information as they use additional credit union services. Identification verification records will be kept
confidential and updated periodically. These practices also will guard you against the crime of identity theft.
If submitting applications by mail or fax, all signatures must be notarized. You must include a notarized copy of a valid driver's
license, state issued identification, military identification or U.S. Passport. Please call for details on other identification accepted by
the credit union.
You must be a member to apply for any other services, such as loans, credit cards or a checking account. If submitting an application by mail,
please include a check for $27 to open your account ($25 minimum balance, and $2 membership fee).
If you are opening a checking account, please include an additional $20 to cover check printing costs.
San Tan Credit Union offers loans to its members for donations to support the extracurricular activities of the school districts within our membership.

San Tan CU offers a scholarship for $500 per semester for one year at an Arizona college, university of community college. Deadline for application
submission is April 4, 2008.
To qualify for the scholarship you must:
- Be a member of STCU or a member of your immediate family must be a member of STCU.
- Be a graduating senior in a school district served by STCU.
- Qualify for college admission and carry the hours considered by your college or university for a full time student, normally 12 hours per semester.
- Demonstrate financial need.
